At Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness in Littleton, Colorado, Dr. Andrew Coleman, Kristen Coleman, PA-C, and their team of RN Nurses provide solutions for men and women who are unhappy with their double chin. Morpheus8 microneedling with RF treatment addresses the appearance of a double chin with subdermal adipose remodeling. Let’s look at this process and its advantages.
Subdermal adipose remodeling is described as a physiological process in which the subcutaneous fat tissues change in response to various stimuli. This process involves the expansion, contraction, and relocation of adipose tissue. Adipose tissue, referred to by most as body fat, plays a critical role in energy storage and metabolism regulation. It consists of specialized cells called adipocytes that will store excess energy in the form of triglycerides. Subdermal adipose tissue refers to the layer of fat located just beneath the skin, especially the double chin. With the use of Morpheus8 treatments for the face and body, the dreaded “submental fullness” can be treated!
