When you want to tighten your skin and make it smoother, Morpheus8 can help. But the treatment is only part of the equation. Your aftercare will also play a huge role in your final results. The team at Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness in Littleton, Colorado, will help you prepare before your first session even starts.
Turns out drinking a lot of water isn’t just generic health advice. After Morpheus8 treatment, your skin needs that moisture to heal properly. Make your goal about eight glasses a day. And adding some electrolytes can help.
Because we live at an elevation here in Colorado, the dry air naturally pulls moisture from our skin. So keep a refillable water bottle close by to hydrate yourself from the inside out.
If you have a multi-step skin care routine, you may need to skip a few steps for the first few days after Morpheus8 treatment. Stick with just a mild cleanser and maybe a calming moisturizer. And of course, use sunscreen as long as your provider says that’s okay for you.
Definitely avoid retinols and things like exfoliating acids and gritty scrubs. All of these can irritate your treated skin and delay healing.
After your treatment, your skin will probably feel a little tender and warm. Totally normal. For now, don’t use a facial brush or washcloth. Go with a fragrance-free cleanser and pat dry with a soft towel. No rubbing.
After your Morpheus8 treatment, you’ll notice your skin is a bit more sensitive to UV rays. That means sun protection is super important. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher once your provider gives you the OK. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat or staying in the shade also helps.
Embracing a makeup-free routine for 48 hours after the Morpheus8 treatment is essential for optimal healing. Applying makeup can irritate freshly treated skin and interfere with its healing.
While your skin is recovering after your treatment, it’s a good idea to avoid anything that exposes it to intense heat. This includes:
