Our providers at Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness work with men and women who are looking for ways to reverse the clock on their facial appearance. Fortunately, this can be done now without the need for plastic surgery. Our team always recommends avoiding invasive procedures, and we invite Littleton, Colorado, area patients to consider injections such as Xeomin, one of many injectables available at our clinic. Below are a few frequently asked questions about Xeomin injections.
The majority of our patients seek Xeomin injections for facial rejuvenation. Xeomin is commonly used to alleviate frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, and crow’s feet around the eyes.
Xeomin is similar to Botox and Dysport in that they are all injections containing a botulinum toxin type A formula. However, there are some differences in their formulation and potency. Some patients may prefer one based on personal preference or previous experiences.
Xeomin temporarily relaxes facial muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines. When injected into these muscles, it blocks nerve signals that normally trigger muscle contractions. This relaxes these facial muscles, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance.
Results from Xeomin injections typically last anywhere from three to four months. However, this varies depending on factors such as metabolism and lifestyle choices. Our Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness team recommends repeat treatments to maintain optimal results.
Xeomin injections are generally well-tolerated, with few reported side effects. The most frequent and obvious adverse effects include headaches, transient weakening or drooping of the surrounding muscles, and slight bruising or swelling at the injection site. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve independently within a few days.
Xeomin injections do not require downtime, and you can usually resume your normal activities immediately following the procedure. It is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours and to avoid rubbing or massaging the treatment area to ensure the best, optimal results.
Xeomin can be combined with other cosmetic treatments, including dermal fillers or laser therapy, for a more comprehensive facial rejuvenation. Our experienced team at Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness will work directly with you to create a personalized treatment plan based on your individual aesthetic goals and needs.
Our providers at Biomend Aesthetics and Wellness work directly with patients to educate them on their treatment options and what can be done to achieve the most desirable results when combating the unwanted signs of aging on one’s face.
